Thank God for Lou Dobbs. The Fox Business News host is a patriot who has consistently opposed Obama’s Marxist agenda. Dobbs was among the first, if not the first, political commentators who threw his support behind Donald Trump and his America First worldview.
Now Dobbs is sounding the alarm, along with Congressman Chris Collins, that Barack Obama remains committed to driving Americans towards his vision of a global Marxist utopia even though Americans soundly rejected his agenda at the ballot box with the November election of Donald Trump:
“Barack Obama who many claim will be creating a shadow government to frustrate the policy goals of this administration, we’re looking at something that’s coming very close, it seems to me, to sedition.
“When you start working against the interest of the United States government, whether it’s in the person of Donald Trump or whomever, and conspiring and organizing to frustrate the policies that he intends to execute, I think that really takes us to a whole other level.”
Unfortunately, Dobbs is not espousing conspiracy theories or reporting fake news when he levels these charges against Barack Obama.
Obama’s sudden and unexplained demotion of U.S. attorney Dana Boente is a case in point. Boente was second in line to become Attorney General. That means that once Trump became president, and he fired or accepted the resignation of Obama’s AG Loretta Lynch, Boente would’ve become the acting AG until such time that Trump’s nominee was confirmed.
Boente is longtime federal prosecutor best known for his handling of public corruption cases. He’s tried eight public corruption cases and they all resulted in convictions.
Gene Rossi, a former U.S. assistant attorney, had this to say about Boente: “Dana was very circumspect about his politics. “I never saw Dana in the 22 years I worked with him make what I considered to a political decision . . . He will try his best to enforce what he thinks is the law.” Rossi is a Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor of Virginia.
Just prior to leaving office Obama, in what can only be characterized as a calculated political move designed to undermine the incoming president, demoted Boente. More significantly that moved Sally Yates, an Obama sycophant, into position to become acting AG once Trump took office.
Yates immediately did Obama’s bidding by refusing to enforce President Trump’s Executive Order curtailing immigration while Obama, working behind the scenes directing his army of leftist lawyers to challenge Trump in courts across the country that had previously demonstrated their globalist bias.
All of this was supported by the Senate Democrats’ obstruction of Jeff Sessions’ confirmation to be Trump’s Attorney General.
Republicans will soon have a decision to make if they really care about preserving what’s left of and restoring what’s been stripped from our Founding Principles.
Congressman Chris Collins, the first House member to throw his support behind Donald Trump made clear the power that Republicans were entrusted with by the patriotic Americans who gave them control of the legislative and executive branches of government:
“They’re [obstructionist Democrats] just begging us to get rid of the filibuster not only on the Supreme Court but frankly get rid of the filibuster on legislation. That’s something I would support and if we do that they become totally irrelevant.”
It’s important to note that neither the 60-vote cloture rule, or the filibuster that it replaced, has any basis in the Constitution. Rather, it is a confab by politicians who’d prefer not to go on record for how they’d vote if they were forced to.
Rep. Collins made it clear just what would happen to the anti-American Democrats if cloture-filibuster rule were to be shelved.
“The Democrats will be wandering lost in the desert for a very long time.”
The ball is now in the Republicans’ court. Will they take a stand against Obama and the Democrats’ seditious behavior and do the work Americans elected them to do (and, that they promised to do,) or will they join the Democrats in obstructing President Trump’s efforts to restore America’s greatness?
We have a small window of opportunity until the 2018 election. Either we make the most of it or we will lose our free republic forever.
