Despite a lifetime as a competitive dancer who avoided running the mile in gym class, today Alison is a five-time marathoner, many-time half-marathoner and occasional shorter distance racer. When she's not "on the run" (she blogs at Ali On The Run), Alison loves cycling — indoor and outdoor — and is a Baptiste yoga junkie. A graduate of Quinnipiac University (where she was captain of the Kickline team), Alison went on to become editor-in-chief of Dance Spirit magazine. She is currently a frequent contributor to Self.com, Shape.com, Greatist, Dance Spirit, Dance Magazine and Dance Teacher, and has also been published in Runner's World, Zelle, and Women's Running.
